The Acolyte Fantasy League: Rules and Scoring Explained

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to The Acolyte Fantasy League – the only game that merges two popular interests: Fantasy Sports and The Acolyte!

In a typical sports fantasy league, athletes score points each game for hitting a homerun or throwing a touchdown pass. In The Acolyte Fantasy League, characters score points for in-show accomplishments like igniting a lightsaber, entering hyperspace, or using the Force.

BUILDING A TEAM

It’s easy to play! There are 32 League characters in 10 groups from which to choose.

  1. Select one character from each group to build your team.
  2. Send an e-mail with your team name and player selections (one character per group – 10 total) with the subject line “The Acolyte” to fantasyleaguegeek@gmail.com before the premiere of season 1 of The Acolyte on June 4, 2024.
  3. Please include your guess for the total run-time (in minutes and seconds) of The Acolyte season one finale.

Limit one entry per e-mail address.

If two or more teams finish in a tie, the team with the highest single episode score will be the winner. If there is still a tie, the team with the 2nd (then 3rd through 8th, if necessary) highest single episode score will be the winner. If two or more teams are identical, the team that guesses closest to the total run-time of the season one finale will be the winner.

Fantasy League Geek will post updates after each episode with current standings, scores, and more!

SCORING POINTS

Anything occurring in a “Previously on The Acolyte” recap segment at the beginning of an episode does not count for points, nor does anything seen in concept art or credits at the end of an episode. Only the events occurring within the episode (after the helmet montage and before “Created by Leslye Headland” appears in the star field) will count for points.

Points will be awarded or deducted according to the categories below. Fantasy League Geek will be the final judge in all scoring decisions.

ATTENDANCE POINTS

APPEARS IN AN EPISODE (+1 point)

League characters who appear in an episode are awarded 1 point. To receive these points, they must be physically present or appear in either a hologram or still image.

APPEARS AS A HOLOGRAM (+2 points)

League characters who appear on screen as a hologram will be awarded 2 points.

APPEARS IN POST-CREDIT SCENE (+3 points)

In the event of a post-credit scene, an exception to the ‘within the episode’ rule will be implemented. Any character appearing in a post-credit scene (i.e., The Book Of Boba Fett tease in Chapter 16 of The Mandalorian) will be awarded 3 points. Post-credit scenes will not be eligible to earn ‘First’ or ‘Final’ points, but will be awarded, or penalized, points based on all other actions, visits, encounters, etc.
