Ahsoka Season 1 Fantasy League Recap – Week 6

Part Six: Far, Far Away

Hey Ahsoka fans!

The sixth episode of Ahsoka, titled Far, Far Away, featured the season’s first appearance of Group 4 character Grand Admiral Thrawn and Group 6 character Captain Enoch. Thrawn led the scoring with a new single week record high 42.5 points, single-handedly scoring a large percentage of the episode’s 98 total points.

In this episode, only 9 League Characters scored points for their team, while 1 (Hera Syndulla) finished with a net zero total after scoring 0.5 points and incurring a -0.5 point penalty. I’ll include a scene-by-scene recap of all the scoring below, but first let’s get right to the Week 6 standings.

Important Scoring Note

Grand Admiral Thrawn’s introduction presented the most difficult scoring decision of the season so far. A legion of Night Troopers chanted his name as he marched through their ranks. The closed captioning read Night Troopers: (chanting) Thrawn. Thrawn. Thrawn. After re-watching and re-listening to the sequence several times, Fantasy League Geek determined Thrawn’s name was said approximately 54 times, giving the Grand Admiral a whopping 27 points.

Fantasy League Geek also ruled that the new, multi-colored form of hyperspace travel seen in this episode swirling around both the purrgil and the Eye of Sion will count for hyperspace encounter points.

Scoring Recap

The episode begins with a pod of purrgil traveling through hyperspace, the largest one carrying the T-6 with both Ahsoka Tano and Huyang on board. Both score 5 points for appearing first onscreen. They also both score 1 point for appearing in the episode, 0.5 points for encountering purrgil, and 2 points for traveling through hyperspace. Huyang scores 5 points for speaking the first line of dialogue: “Intergalactic travel within a star whale.” Sabine Wren is name-dropped twice, scoring 1 point, while Hera Syndulla, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Ezra Bridger are each name-dropped once, scoring 0.5 points. The scene ends with the show and episode title.

After all were absent from the previous episode, Sabine Wren, Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati, and Morgan Elsbeth score 1 point for appearing in this episode. Shin, Morgan, and Baylan score 2 points for traveling through hyperspace on board the Eye of Sion. Ezra is name-dropped twice, scoring 1 point. Morgan and Baylan both score 1 point for saying the name of the planet Peridea after the Eye of Sion exits hyperspace near the ringed planet. They collect Sabine from her prison cell before boarding a shuttle and descending to the planet’s surface. Sabine is penalized -1.5 points for being captured and placed in cuffs.

Baylan, Shin, Morgan, and Sabine all score 1 point for visiting Peridea. They encounter three Nightsisters and Grand Admiral Thrawn is mentioned twice, scoring 1 point. Ezra Bridger is mentioned once, scoring 0.5 points. Sabine is placed in a prison cell and scores 0.5 points for appearing onscreen during the wipe transition that ends the scene.

In the next scene, Baylan and Shin observe the barren landscape of Peridea. Thrawn is mentioned, giving him 0.5 points. Baylan scores 1 point for saying the phrase “The Empire.”

In her prison cell, Sabine says Ahsoka’s name, giving the Togruta 0.5 points. She attempts to use the Force to open the door, and it appears it might be working, but the vibration shown is actually the arrival of a Star Destroyer in the sky above the tower, and no points are awarded.

Baylan, Morgan, and Shin all score 0.5 points for encountering Night Troopers inside the Star Destroyer. Captain Enoch makes his season debut and scores 1 point for appearing in the episode, 1 point for visiting Peridea, and 0.5 points for encountering Night Troopers. Also making his season debut is Grand Admiral Thrawn, who also scores 1 point for appearing in the episode, 1 point for visiting Peridea, and 0.5 points for encountering Night Troopers. The legion of Night Troopers assembled on the Chimaera, Thrawn’s flagship, chant the Grand Admiral’s name 54 times and he is awarded 27 points. Introductions are made all around. Morgan, Baylan, Shin, Enoch, and Thrawn also score 0.5 points for encountering Night Troopers again, this time in the tower on Peridea’s surface. Sabine, Thrawn, and Baylan’s name are all said, giving each 0.5 points. Ezra is mentioned twice, scoring 1 point.

Honoring the agreement made with Baylan, Thrawn releases Sabine, and provides her with a mount. They watch from the top of the tower as she begins her search for Ezra. Thrawn mentions Sabine and Ezra by name, giving them both 0.5 points. A wipe transition ends the scene, giving both Thrawn and Shin 0.5 points for appearing onscreen.

Sabine appears onscreen for the second half of the same transition and scores 0.5 points. She is attacked by bandits and scores 0.5 points for igniting her lightsaber. Sabine fends off the attackers and scores 0.5 points for appearing onscreen during the wipe transition that ends the scene.

Sabine scores 0.5 points for appearing onscreen during the second half of the same transition as she enters the Noti village. Ezra Bridger scores 1 point for appearing in the episode and 1 point for visiting the planet Peridea. Sabine embraces her long lost friend and Ezra says her name twice, giving her 1 point. Sabine scores 0.5 points for appearing onscreen during the wipe transition that ends the scene.

In the final scene, Thrawn name-drops Ahsoka twice while speaking with the Great Mothers and Morgan, giving her 1 point. Baylan is also mentioned by name, scoring 0.5 points. Thrawn scores 1 point for saying the name of the planet Peridea and 4 points for speaking the final line of dialogue by a League Character: “Great Mothers, I shall once again require the aid of your dark magick.” Thrawn also scores 4 points for appearing last onscreen.
