Part Five: Shadow Warrior
Hey Ahsoka fans!
The fifth episode of Ahsoka, titled Shadow Warrior, featured the first flashbacks of the season and the first appearance of Group 6 character Captain Rex. It reversed the downward trend of points scored with a season high total of 123. Ahsoka Tano repeated as the highest scorer with a single week record high 32 points.
In this episode, 12 League Characters scored points for their team, while 3 more (Baylan Skoll, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Morgan Elsbeth) finished with a net zero total after scoring 0.5 points and incurring a -0.5 point penalty. I’ll include a scene-by-scene recap of all the scoring below, but first let’s get right to the Week 5 standings.

Finishing in first place for the third time this season is GoForPapaPalpatine with 70.5 points and a scoring lineup of Ahsoka Tano (odd) (32 points), Sabine Wren (4.5 points), Huyang (7.5 points), Anakin Skywalker (16 points), Kanan Jarrus (1.5 points), and Carson Teva (10.5 points).
In second place this week is nWo with 68 points and a scoring lineup of Ahsoka Tano (odd) (32 points), Hera Syndulla (26 points), Ezra Bridger (1 point), and Chopper (11 points).
In third place this week for the third time this season is Soup Ahsokas with 33.5 points and a scoring lineup of Sabine Wren (4.5 points), Anakin Skywalker (16 points), and Jacen Syndulla (14.5 points).
In last place for the third time this season is Beggars Canyon Bullies with 15 points and a scoring lineup of Sabine Wren (4.5 points), Ezra Bridger (1 point), Captain Rex (8 points), and Mon Mothma (4 points).
Scoring Recap
The fifth episode opens on the planet Seatos. Three X-Wings fly over The Ghost, parked near the henge where the star map was located, as Hera Syndulla descends the exit ramp. Hera scores 5 points for appearing first onscreen, 1 point for appearing in the episode, 1 point for visiting Seatos, and 2 points for encountering an X-Wing Fighter. She takes out her comm and scores 5 points for speaking the first line of dialogue in the episode: “Carson, come in.” Carson Teva scores 0.5 points when she says his name. Jacen Syndulla and Chopper descend the ramp of The Ghost, each scoring 1 point for appearing in the episode and 1 point for visiting Seatos. Chopper scores 1 point when both Hera and Jacen say his name. Hera investigates a noise behind one of the monoliths and finds Huyang staring at Sabine’s helmet. Huyang scores 1 point for appearing in the episode, 1 point for visiting Seatos, and 0.5 points when Hera says his name. The scene ends with the show and episode title.
Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano face each other in the World Between Worlds. Both score 1 point for appearing in the episode. Anakin scores 0.5 points when Ahsoka says his name. Ahsoka also says Baylan Skoll’s name, giving him 0.5 points (the only points he scores in the entire episode.) Anakin and Ahsoka both score 0.5 points for igniting their lightsabers after Anakin tells Ahsoka he has a lesson to teach her: live or die.
In the next scene, Jacen Syndulla stares into the ocean on Seatos. Hera says both Sabine Wren and Ashoka’s name, giving them both 0.5 points. Carson Teva approaches, scoring 1 point for appearing in the episode and 1 point for visiting Seatos. Hera, Huyang, Jacen, and Carson all score 2 points for encountering Carson’s X-Wing Fighter, parked beside The Ghost. Hera says Jacen’s name three times, giving her son 1.5 points. She also says Chopper’s name twice, giving the cantankerous droid 1 point. Jacen scores 0.5 points for using the Force to listen to lightsabers in the water. It appears Hera also hears the lightsabers when she concentrates, so she is awarded 0.5 points for using the Force too. Hera says Carson, Huyang, Jacen, and Chopper’s name, giving them all 0.5 points. Hera scores 1 point for saying the phrase “The Ghost.” Huyang says Jacen’s name, giving Kanan’s son 0.5 points, and also name-drops Kanan Jarrus, giving Jacen’s father 0.5 points. Chopper scores 2 points for encountering Carson’s X-Wing when it takes off to search the ocean for Ahsoka.
Back in the World Between Worlds, Anakin and Ahsoka continue dueling. Anakin slices the path, breaking the floor beneath Ahsoka’s feet, sending her free falling into a past memory of one of her first missions: the Battle of Teth during the Clone Wars. Anakin and Ahsoka both score 1 point for appearing in a flashback, 1 point for visiting Teth, 0.5 points for encountering Clone Troopers, and 0.5 points for igniting their lightsabers.
Anakin and Ahsoka charge through the fog of war and emerge in a new flashback, this time during the Battle of Ryloth. Anakin and Ahsoka both score 1 point for appearing in a flashback, 1 point for visiting Ryloth, and 0.5 points for encountering Clone Troopers. Captain Rex makes his first appearance of the season, scoring 1 point for appearing in the episode, 1 point for appearing in a flashback, 1 point for visiting Ryloth, and 0.5 points for encountering Clone Troopers. During a pause in the fighting, Anakin says Ahsoka’s name, giving his padawan 0.5 points, then he ignites his lightsaber to engage the Separatists, scoring 0.5 points. As Anakin leads the Clone Troopers into battle with a blue lightsaber, he briefly changes form to Darth Vader, and scores 0.5 points for wielding a red lightsaber.
Back on Seatos, Jacen scores 2 points for encountering the X-Wing Fighters that search the ocean for Ahsoka. Huyang scores 1 point for saying the phrase “New Republic.” A photograph of Kanan Jarrus is visible in the cockpit of The Ghost, and he scores 1 point for appearing in the episode as a still image. Carson Teva, Ahsoka, and Chopper are all mentioned by name twice, scoring 1 point each. Sabine, Huyang, and Jacen are all name-dropped once, scoring 0.5 points each.
Ahsoka appears in another flashback, this time during the Siege of Mandalore. She scores 1 point for wielding both her lightsabers, 1 point for appearing in a flashback, 3 points for visiting the planet Mandalore, and 0.5 points for encountering Clone Troopers. Captain Rex and Anakin Skywalker also make an appearance in a flashback, scoring 1 point each. Both also score 3 points for visiting Mandalore and 0.5 points for encountering Clone Troopers. Ahsoka scores 1 point for saying the name of the planet Mandalore. Anakin and Ahsoka call each other by name, swapping 0.5 points. Anakin ignites a red lightsaber and attacks Ahsoka, scoring 0.5 points. She ignites both lightsabers to defend herself, scoring 1 point.
Anakin kicks Ahsoka back into the World Between Worlds, and she ignites both her white lightsabers to defend herself against his attack again, scoring 1 point. Anakin changes form to Darth Vader again, but he doesn’t score additional points for wielding a different lightsaber this time. Anakin briefly places his hand on one of Ahsoka’s lightsabers and is awarded 0.5 points for wielding it. Ahsoka is disarmed, but she takes Anakin’s red lightsaber from him, scoring 0.5 points for wielding it. She says Anakin’s name one more time after he disappears, giving her master 0.5 points.
Her final lesson learned, Ahsoka sinks into water and wakes in the ocean of Seatos, scoring 1 point for visiting the planet. She scores 2 points for encountering an X-Wing Fighter as she is pulled from the ocean, and she says Anakin’s name two more times, giving her master 1 point.
Jacen and Chopper watch from the cliff’s edge and score 2 points for encountering an X-Wing Fighter as The Ghost and the squadron return with Ahsoka. Jacen says Chopper’s name, giving the droid 0.5 points. The scene ends with a wipe transition, giving both Chopper and Jacen 0.5 points.
Ahsoka is onscreen for the second half of the same transition and scores 0.5 points. She wakes in the T-6 and Huyang brings her a drink, but she never takes a sip onscreen. Ahsoka and Sabine are both name-dropped, and score 0.5 points each. Jacen is name-dropped twice, and scores 1 point.
Outside the T-6, Jacen says Ahsoka’s name, giving her 0.5 points. Hera says both Huyang and Jacen’s name, giving them both 0.5 points too. Both Ahsoka and Hera say Sabine’s name, giving her 1 point. Ahsoka uses the Force to listen to the memory imprinted on the broken star map, scoring 0.5 points. She hears herself say Sabine’s name, giving the missing Mandalorian 0.5 points. Also in the Force memory, Baylan Skoll says both Sabine and Ezra’s name, giving both 0.5 points. Ahsoka scores 1 point for saying the name of the planet Seatos. Hera says Sabine’s name one more time, giving her another 0.5 points before she enters The Ghost with Carson Teva to communicate with the New Republic. Ahsoka gazes at the sky and scores 0.5 points for appearing onscreen with a purrgil.
Inside The Ghost, Mon Mothma appears as a hologram, scoring 2 points. She also scores 1 point for appearing in the episode and 1 point for saying the name of the planet Coruscant. Mon Mothma says Morgan Elsbeth, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ahsoka, and Hera’s name, giving them all 0.5 points. Ahsoka arrives in the cockpit and name-drops Sabine, giving her 0.5 points.
In the next scene, Huyang, Ahsoka, Jacen, Hera, and Chopper all score 0.5 points for encountering purrgil in the sky high above Seatos.
A New Republic Fleet arrives at Seatos and Carson stalls them while Hera tries to complete her mission. Carson scores 2 points for encountering his own X-Wing Fighter. His name is also mentioned four times, giving the X-Wing pilot 2 more points. Hera’s name is mentioned 3 times, giving the New Republic general 1.5 points, and Ahsoka’s name is mentioned once, giving her 0.5 points.
Back on The Ghost, Jacen says Ezra’s name twice, giving him 1 point, and Ahsoka’s name once, giving her 0.5 points.
Ahsoka uses the Force to communicate with a purrgil, scoring 0.5 points. Huyang moves the T-6 into the jaws of the purrgil and name-drops Sabine, giving her 0.5 points. Carson Teva scores 0.5 points for encountering the purrgil when they exit the atmosphere of Seatos and prepare to jump to hyperspace.
While saying goodbye to her friend, Hera scores 1 point when her name is mentioned twice, and Ahsoka and Jacen both score 0.5 points when their names are mentioned once. Hera scores 1 point for saying the phrase “May The Force Be With You.” She scores 4 additional points because it is also the final line of dialogue in the episode. The purrgil enter hyperspace and Ahsoka is the final character onscreen, scoring 4 points.
All characters who did not appear in the episode are penalized -0.5 points.

In the overall standings, GoForPapaPalpatine moved up into first place and nWo moved up into second place after both leaped over Soup Ahsokas, who dropped from first to third place. Beggars Canyon Bullies remained in last place for the fifth consecutive week.
