Ahsoka Season 1 Fantasy League Recap – Week 4

Part Four: Fallen Jedi

Hey Ahsoka fans!

The fourth episode of Ahsoka, titled Fallen Jedi, continued the downward trend of points scored, with a season low total of 70.5, due in part to the costly penalties incurred by Sabine Wren and the death of Group 5 character Marrok. Ahsoka Tano regained her crown as the highest scorer of the week with 16.5 points.

This episode equaled the season high with 14 League Characters scoring points for their team, including the first appearance of Anakin Skywalker and the first points of the season from a character in Group 10: Carson Teva. I’ll include a scene-by-scene recap of all the scoring below, but first let’s get right to the Week 4 standings.

WEEK 4 – PART FOUR RESULTS

  2. GoForPapaPalpatine – 35
  3. Beggars Canyon Bullies – 33
  4. nWo – 25

In first place this week for the second time this season is Soup Ahsokas with 48 points and a scoring lineup of Ahsoka Tano (even) (16.5 points), Sabine Wren (11 points), Baylan Skoll (9 points), Grand Admiral Thrawn (0.5 points), Morgan Elsbeth (5 points), Anakin Skywalker (2.5 points), and Jacen Syndulla (5 points).

Marrok was awarded 3.5 points this week, but incurred a -4 point penalty, which resulted in a negative score.

In last place this week for the first time this season is nWo with 25 points and a scoring lineup of Hera Syndulla (6.5 points), Baylan Skoll (9 points), Ezra Bridger (1.5 points), Morgan Elsbeth (5 points), and Chopper (5 points).

Scoring Recap

For the second consecutive week, Huyang appears first onscreen and receives 5 points. Unlike last week, the first line of dialogue is spoken by Sabine Wren, not Huyang, and Ahsoka’s new padawan scores 5 points for the line, “I’m gonna try again.” Huyang, Sabine, and Ahsoka Tano all score 1 point for appearing in the episode and 1 point for visiting the planet Seatos. Hera Syndulla, Ahsoka, Huyang, Ezra Bridger, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Sabine were all name-dropped in the opening scene and all score 0.5 points. Ahsoka scores 1 point for saying the phrase “The Empire.” The scene ends with a wipe transition while Huyang repairs the T-6 shuttle, giving the droid 0.5 points.

Marrok, Shin Hati, Morgan Elsbeth, and Baylan Skoll are all onscreen for the second half of the same transition that begins the next scene and each score 0.5 points. All four also score 1 point for appearing in the episode and 1 additional point for visiting Seatos. The scene ends with the show and episode title.

In the next scene, Ahsoka scores 1 point for igniting both lightsabers to engage the attackers sent by Baylan. She also uses the Force to lift one of the attackers, use him as a shield, and toss him away, scoring 0.5 points. Both Ezra and Hera are mentioned by name and both score 0.5 points. Sabine is penalized -1 point for removing her helmet. The scene ends with a wipe transition, but no characters were onscreen.

In the next scene, Hera, Jacen Syndulla, and Chopper all score 1 point for appearing in the episode, and 2 points for encountering an X-Wing Fighter in the hangar of Home One. Barely visible in the cockpit of The Ghost is a photograph of Kanan Jarrus, who scores 1 point for appearing in the episode as a still image. Carson Teva scores his first points of the season when Hera says his name. He also scores 1 point for appearing in the episode and 2 points for encountering his own X-Wing Fighter. Hera, Jacen, and Chopper score 2 points for entering hyperspace and the scene ends with a wipe transition, but once again, no characters were onscreen.

On Seatos, Morgan scores 0.5 points for using the Force to activate the star map. Sabine and Ahsoka run through the forest to recover the map and encounter Shin Hati and Marrok. Ahsoka and Shin both score 0.5 points for igniting their lightsabers and Marrok scores 1 point for igniting both blades of his. Shin uses the Force to push Sabine into a tree, scoring 0.5 points. The impact knocks off Sabine’s helmet, resulting in a penalty of -1 point. Sabine ignites her lightsaber, scoring 0.5 points. Marrok is penalized -4 points when Ahsoka kills him.

Ahsoka continues alone to the star map’s location and encounters Baylan Skoll. He mentions Anakin Skywalker’s name twice, giving the fallen Jedi 1 point. He also name-drops Grand Admiral Thrawn, giving him 0.5 points. Both Ahsoka and Baylan ignite their lightsabers, scoring 0.5 points each.

On the Eye of Sion, one of Morgan’s navigator droids says Baylan’s name, giving him 0.5 points.

Cutting back to Ahsoka and Baylan’s duel, Baylan scores 0.5 points for using the Force to throw a large rock at Ahsoka.

In the forest, Shin disarms Sabine, who extends her hand and musters enough Force to make Shin flinch, scoring 0.5 points. Shin tells Sabine that she has no power and Sabine fires her wrist weapon instead, disarming her adversary. Shin throws a smoke bomb at Sabine and flees.

Ahsoka temporarily gets the best of Baylan and disables the star map, but burns her hand, which gives her a disadvantage in the rest of the duel. Shin arrives at the star map’s location. Ahsoka assumes Sabine is dead and uses the Force to throw Shin against one of the monoliths, knocking her unconscious, and scoring 0.5 points. Ahsoka also says Sabine’s name, giving the Mandalorian 0.5 points. Ahsoka uses the Force again to push against Baylan’s superior strength when their blades deadlock, scoring 0.5 points.

Sabine arrives, surprising them both, and Ahsoka says her name again, giving her 0.5 points. Baylan drives Ahsoka off the cliff’s edge and uses the Force to read Sabine’s mind, scoring 0.5 points. Baylan says both Ezra Bridger and Sabine’s name twice, giving them both 1 point. Baylan also scores 1 point for saying the name of the planet Mandalore. He convinces Sabine to give him the star map and he reactivates it, though he does not appear to use the Force as Morgan had. Shin regains consciousness and uses the Force to choke Sabine, scoring 0.5 points. Baylan calls Shin’s name twice, ordering her to release Sabine, giving his apprentice 1 point.

On the Eye of Sion, both a navigator droid and Morgan Elsbeth say Baylan’s name, giving him 1 point.

Back at the T-6, Huyang scores 1 point for saying the name of the planet Seatos and another 0.5 points when Hera says his name over the comm. Dropping out of hyperspace in The Ghost with five X-Wings, Hera also says Sabine and Ahsoka’s names, giving them both 0.5 points.

Baylan ignites his lightsaber to destroy the star map after it transmits the final hyperspace coordinates to the Eye Of Sion, and scores 0.5 points. Sabine is penalized -1.5 points for being captured and placed in cuffs. Baylan and Shin take Sabine with them to the Eye of Sion and the Mandalorian says Hera’s name, giving the New Republic General 0.5 points.

Morgan fires up the hyperdrive and Hera says Carson Teva’s name when she notices the tremendous surge in power, giving the New Republic pilot 0.5 points. Sabine, Shin, Morgan, and Baylan all score 2 points for entering hyperspace. Carson does not receive points for encountering his X-Wing Fighter again, and neither he, Hera, Chopper, or Jacen score points for visiting Seatos in this episode because they never enter the atmosphere or land on the planet.

On the planet below, Huyang says Sabine’s name on his comm three times, giving her 1.5 points. She doesn’t hear him because the Eye of Sion has whisked her far away. He also says Ahsoka’s name twice, giving her 1 point. She doesn’t answer either because it is revealed that she has been whisked even farther away. The scene ends with a wipe transition, giving the lonely droid 0.5 points.

Ahsoka wakes in the World Between Worlds where her former master, Anakin Skywalker, appears in an episode for the first time this season, scoring 1 point. He scores 0.5 points when Ahsoka says, “Anakin.” Ahsoka scores 4 points for saying his name because it is the final line of dialogue in the episode. She also scores 4 points for appearing last onscreen.

All characters who did not appear in the episode are penalized -0.5 points.
