AHSOKA SEASON 1 FANTASY LEAGUE

INTRODUCTION AND RULES

Welcome to the Ahsoka Fantasy League! This is the only game that merges two popular interests: Fantasy Sports and Ahsoka.

BUILDING A TEAM

There are 43 League characters in 10 groups from which to choose.

Select one character from each group to build your team. Send an e-mail with your team name (keep it clean, please!) and player selections (one character per group – 10 total) with the subject line “Ahsoka Entry” to fantasyleaguegeek@gmail.com by 11:59pm ET on August 20, 2023. Limit one entry per person.

Along with your selections, please include your guess for the total run-time (in minutes and seconds) of the Ahsoka Season One finale.

If two or more teams finish in a tie, the team with the highest single episode score will be the winner. If there is still a tie, the team with the 2nd (then 3rd through 8th, if necessary) highest single episode score will be the winner. If two or more teams are identical, the team that guesses closest to the total run-time of the Ahsoka Season One finale will be the winner.

Fantasy League Geek will post weekly updates with current standings, scores, and more!

CHARACTER GROUPS

Ahsoka Tano is the star of the show named after her and she will be available to every team.

However, she must be chosen for either odd-numbered episodes (1, 3, 5, 7) or even-numbered episodes (2, 4, 6, 8.)

Teams with AHSOKA (ODD) will score Ahsoka’s points for the series premiere, plus the third, fifth, and seventh episodes.

Teams with AHSOKA (EVEN) will score Ahsoka’s points for episodes two, four, six, and the season finale.

Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader will be treated as the same League character.

EDIT on July 21, 2023: Added Marrok to Character Group 5.

SCORING POINTS

Points will be awarded or deducted according to the categories below. Fantasy League Geek will be the final judge in all scoring decisions.

Anything occurring in the “Previously on Ahsoka” recap segment at the beginning of an episode does not count for points. Anything seen in the concept art at the end of an episode does not count for points. Only the events occurring within the episode (after the helmet montage and before “Directed By…” appears) will count for points.

ATTENDANCE POINTS
APPEARS IN AN EPISODE (+1 point)

League characters who appear in an episode are awarded 1 point. To receive these points, they must be physically present or appear in either a hologram or still image.

APPEARS AS A HOLOGRAM (+2 points)

League characters who appear on screen as a hologram will be awarded 2 points.

APPEARS AS A FORCE GHOST (+3 points)

League characters who appear on screen as a Force Ghost will be awarded 3 points.

APPEARS IN POST-CREDIT SCENE (+4 points)

In the event of a post-credit scene, an exception to the ‘within the episode’ rule will be implemented. Any character appearing in a post-credit scene (i.e., The Book Of Boba Fett tease in Chapter 16 of The Mandalorian) will be awarded 4 points. Post-credit scenes will not be eligible to earn ‘First’ or ‘Final’ points, but will be awarded, or penalized, points based on all other actions, visits, encounters, etc.

APPEARS IN NAME ONLY (+0.5 points)

League characters who are mentioned by name are awarded ½-point. They do not have to be physically present to earn points. Full or partial mentions will be awarded points (example: Bo-Katan Kryze scores points when someone refers to her as either Bo, Bo-Katan, Bo-Katan Kryze, Lady Kryze, or simply Kryze.)

FIRST AND FINAL POINTS
FIRST ON SCREEN (+5 points)

The first League character to appear on screen in an episode will be awarded 5 points. First On Screen points can be shared by more than one League character.

FIRST LINE (+5 points)

The first League character to speak a line of dialogue will be awarded 5 points. Crying, groaning, and screaming do not count as a line of dialogue. The first intelligible spoken line—in Basic or any other language, subtitled or not—will be awarded points.

FINAL ON SCREEN (+4 points)

The final League character to appear on screen will be awarded 4 points. Final On Screen points can be shared by more than one League character.

FINAL LINE (+4 points)

The final League character to speak a line of dialogue will be awarded 4 points. Crying, groaning, and screaming do not count as a line of dialogue. The final intelligible spoken line—in Basic or any other language, subtitled or not—will be awarded points.

FLASHBACK / FORCE VISION
FLASHBACK (+1 POINT)

A Flashback is a narrative taking place at some point in a character’s past and occurring before the ‘present’ established in the first chapter of Ahsoka. Any League character shown in the flashback is awarded 1 point.

FORCE VISION (+2 POINTS)

A Force Vision is a narrative taking place in a character’s future. Any League character shown in a Force Vision is awarded 2 points.

An encounter begins the first time any League character is seen on screen with any of the above. To end an encounter, a character must establish a visible presence away from it.

If a League character encounters stormtroopers and the scene cuts to a different angle of the same stormtroopers, this will be considered part of the initial encounter. An established presence at a new location is required for additional points to be scored.

(Example: If a League character encounters stormtroopers on an Imperial ship, the League character does not receive additional points each time he engages with stormtroopers in different hallways, or areas of the ship.)

(Example #2: Ahsoka visits Lothal in Chapter 1. She leaves the planet to visit Coruscant and returns to Lothal before the end of Chapter 1. She is awarded 4 points for visiting Lothal twice, plus 4 points for visiting Coruscant.)
