The Mandalorian Fantasy League Week 2 Recap

Chaper 18: The Mines Of Mandalore

Hey Fandalorians,

The high scoring continued in week two of the Mandalorian Fantasy League as the action moves to Tatooine where Peli Motto made her season debut, then Mando and Grogu visited Mandalore, and Bo-Katan continued her guest appearance. Here’s a recap of all the scoring in Chapter 18: The Mines Of Mandalore.

Of the 25 League Characters competing in the Mandalorian Fantasy League this year, four of them scored points for their teams this week.

The top point scorer this week was GROGU, who bested Mando’s high score from Week One with an unbelievable 45 points. He scored 1 point for appearing in the episode and used the Force five times – three times performing acrobatic, Force-assisted leaps, one time attempting to free Mando from captivity, and another time to Force push an Alamite out of his path – for a total of 15 points. He was held four times, scoring 4 points, and was onscreen eight times during a wipe transition, scoring 16. He scored 1 point for visiting Tatooine and 4 points for visiting Mandalore, before leaving the planet to seek assistance from Bo-Katan, and qualifying for a second visit—and 4 additional points—when he returned to the Mandalorian homeworld. What an incredible week for the little green guy!

The second leading scorer this week was MANDO with 37 points. He scored 1 point for appearing in the episode and 3 more for being the final character to speak a line of dialogue, reciting the Creed as he descended into the Living Waters in the Mines of Mandalore. He scored 1.5 points for saying the phrase ‘This is the Way,’ and 7 more for saying the name of the planet Mandalore five times, the moon Concordia once, and the planet Kalevala once. He ate pog soup and held Grogu three times, scoring 0.5 points and 1.5 points. He scored 3 points for igniting the Darksaber and 12 more for appearing onscreen during six wipe transitions. Encountering the mythosaur netted him 3 points and he received 1 point for visiting Tatooine and 4 for visiting Mandalore. Mando said the word ‘beskar’ in this episode, but like last week, there were no points in the Beskar Jar.

The next highest point scorer was BO-KATAN KRYZE with 19 points. She scored 1 point for appearing in the episode and 3 points for being the final character on screen. She scored 2 points for saying the name of the planet Mandalore twice and 6 points for igniting the Darksaber twice. She was onscreen for one wipe transition, scoring 2 points, and onscreen with the mythosaur, scoring 3 more. She also received 4 points for visiting the planet Mandalore. She was seen without her helmet several times in this episode, but was shown removing it only once, resulting in a penalty of -2 points.

The only other character to score points this week was PELI MOTTO with 17. She was the first league character to appear onscreen and speak a line of dialogue, scoring 5 points each for a total of 10. She said the phrase ‘May the Force be with you,’ for 1.5 points and the name of the city Mos Eisley for 1 point. She held Grogu once for 0.5 points and was onscreen for one wipe transition for 2 points. She scored 1 point for appearing in the episode and 1 more for visiting Tatooine.

Every other league character was penalized -0.5 points for not appearing in this episode.
